Tucked away behind School House, just off Castle Street on the quiet Sleddale Gardens, School House Cottage is a beautifully appointed holiday cottage offering comfort, convenience and an excellent location from which to explore the Lake District. With private parking for one vehicle and Kendal town centre just a short walk away, it is the perfect choice for couples, families and friends.

Sleeping up to four guests, the cottage has two beautifully presented bedrooms, both with their own en-suite shower rooms. The master bedroom features a comfortable king size bed overlooking the River Kent's famous salmon jump, while the second bedroom offers two full size single beds, making it ideal for both families and friends travelling together. Each bedroom is equipped with a television, wardrobe space and a hairdryer to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Downstairs, you'll find a bright and welcoming open plan living space with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable lounge. Relax after a day exploring the Lakes in front of the large 49-inch Smart TV with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the cottage.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing self catering holiday, including a dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge, microwave, toaster and all the essential cookware, crockery and utensils. Fresh bed linen, towels and a welcome selection of everyday essentials are provided, allowing you to settle in from the moment you arrive.

As our guest, you'll also enjoy complimentary access to the leisure facilities at the nearby Riverside Hotel, where you can make full use of the swimming pool, gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, perfect for unwinding after a day walking the fells or exploring the Lake District.

Pricing

The prices quoted for your stay are fully inclusive and there are no additional charges.

Security Deposit

We ask for a security deposit of £150 which will be returned in full within 7 days of your departure, provided there are no accidents or incidents. We know accidents happen and we are reasonable in what we ask to be covered by this deposit. In the majority of cases, the deposit is returned in full within 7 days of your departure.

Availability & Late Bookings

Last minutes bookings, flexible stays and changeover dates are always considered. Please email or telephone. If you book more than six weeks in advance, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the full stay value is required. The balance to be paid no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival. If your stay is within 6 weeks of your proposed arrival date, we will require full payment. Reservations will be held for 2 days while appropriate funds are transferred into our account. All payments are to be made by BACS.

Directions

Full directions will be supplied prior to your check in date together with the key safe code..

Arrival and Departure

Check in is from 3 pm and we kindly ask that guests check out by 10.00 am to allow us to prepare the property in time for the next guests.

Parking

School House Cottage has one parking space in front of the cottage.

Pets

We do cater for some pets. Dogs are £10 per night per dog. Please contact us prior to booking.

Additional Information

Electric vehicle charging is not permitted at this property. Guests must not use any internal or external electrical sockets to charge electric vehicles.
